What is a Self-locking Door Kit?

We are incredibly proud of our brand new self-locking door kit, which will further increase the security of your hen house.  A world first, the unique self-locking wings have been designed to prevent predators from raising the coop door and accessing your precious flock.

Once the door is fully lowered the wings are automatically released to lock it in place. You don’t need to do anything, except relax.

As well as making the safety of your chickens our number one goal, we also take our environmental responsibility extremely seriously, and have ensured that our tough and durable runners are 100% recycled.

Peace of mind

We purchased the auto Chicken guard to give us peace of mind if we over slept in the morning or were late getting home. The door arrived promptly and Equestrian.Co were very helpful when we wanted to upgrade to the daylight sensor. It’s easy to fit and program. There’s a good you-tube video of the inventor going through the set up. My only criticism, hence 4 stars is that the door occasionally sticks on the way down at the bottom and so the lock doesn’t engage. It’s still closed and 99.9% safe but the 2 catches don’t pop into their sockets. So in summary I’d get one again if the need arises.
