This Walker & Hawkes waxed coat is made from 100% waxed cotton. Tartan lining brings a spice of character. To ensure a custom fit, the coat comes with adjustable cuffs. Actual measurement as given in the guide. It measures the same all the way down, but can be nipped in at the waist by the poppers on each side. It is not so heavy in weight as my old Barbour, but this will be more useful as the weather warms up and I am working/walking outside. There is more style in it than a similar Barbour with the poppered back flat and waist poppers. It has an inside pocket in the lining.
I needed something robust that could deal with gardening work where there are branches and thorns to snare you and didn't want to pay huge prices. It has not yet been fully tested but, as it stands, I would buy again.
Glad I went for the smallest size - it's enormous! Size 8 feels like it's verging on a 12. Otherwise a nice thing, keeps the wind and rain out while looking smarter than your usual raincoat.
Love the quality, warmth and waterproofness....however, the top is a perfect fit for your normal size...alas, I am unsure that the huge hips could fit the chest and arms of any lady....having to have the hips taken in at nearly the same cost as the jacket.

Gorgeous jacket. I was going to buy a Barbour, but opted for this...although was skeptical.
On arrival I was pleasantly surprised. It's gorgeous.
I've given 4 stars because the 'made in England' tag wasn't stitched on correctly, so only attached to jacket on one side and the other side just hangs. It's annoying but not worth going through the palava of sending it back.
Loved it so much I've ordered a second one.
This coat was bought for my daughter, she was really pleased. Great fit and quality, stylish looking coat.
